New York State of Mind

When I think of New York - one of my favorite cities - I think of bustle, activity, importance, business, excitement, urban sprawl, and general cosmopolitanism. Today, while taking a walk in Central Park, it dawned on me that something I never have fully appreciated about the city before is its beauty. I think that this realization has been creeping up on me for the past month that I've lived here, but today, walking around the Central Park reservoir, it really hit me.

I've really enjoyed living here. I'm learning a lot through my internship and gaining great experience - even though the company I'm working for is absolutely crazy. As I've already described, the city itself is fantastic. It's full of energy, opportunity, and diversity. My only regret about my time here is the little time I have to get to know the wonderful people I'm meeting.

I still have about three more weeks though and I'm determined to make the most of it. Besides, when I do say goodbye to the Big Apple, I have a feeling that it'll be more of a "see you soon" than a "farewell forever."
